  • Astra bioplant LTD project has been started since 2007.The company has built a modern biodiesel plant with a capacity of 60 000 mt, which has started operations in the beginning of 2009.
    Strategically located on the Danube, at the border with Romania, so that the production can be easily delivered to domestic and Romanian clients as well as exported via the Danube River to Western European destinations. The plant is situated 5 km away from the river Danube, 9 km away from its own private port and 20 km east of the town of Ruse. The own port of the company is equipped for handling of liquid and bulk cargoes and with a railway terminal.
